Vos Iz Neias?

In The Chain- Reflective Encounters With The Holocaust teilnehmen.

IN MEMORIAM -- This week the University of Kentucky removed the Holocaust from its school curriculum because it "offended" the Muslim population, which claims it never occurred. This is a frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving into it. It is now more than 60 years since the Second World War in Europe ended. This e-mail is being sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the six million Jews, 20 million Russians, 10 million Christians and 1,900 Catholic priests who were murdered, massacred, raped, burned, starved and humiliated with the German and Russian peoples looking the other way! Now more than ever, with Iran among others claiming the Holocaust to be "a myth", it is imperative to make sure the world never forgets. This e-mail is intended to reach 40 million people worldwide! Join us and be a link in the memorial chain and help us distribute it around the world. Please send this e-mail to 10 people you know and ask them to continue the memorial chain. Please don't just delete it. It will only take you a minute to pass this along - Thanks!

Lexington, KY - University of Kentucky: Holocaust Email Hoax.
Lexington, KY - University of Kentucky officials are trying to get the word out about a false claim about the school's curriculum in a chain e-mail circulating the internet.

The controversy began months ago, when an e-mail began being forwarded that claimed that the university removed the Holocaust from its school curriculum because it offended the Muslim population. It was a shocking - and completely inaccurate - claim.

The false accusations began when newspapers in London, England ran stories about schools there not teaching courses about the Holocaust - also an incorrect claim that was addressed at one point by the British government. However - somehow, the "UK" in the story became the University of Kentucky in the subsequent e-mail campaign, which proclaimed an intention to reach 40 million people world wide.

University of Kentucky officials say they got some phone calls and e-mails about the hoax in April, then again in September. But it was nothing like the number they received this past week.

"This week we've been receiving I think hundreds of emails or phone calls asking if the University of Kentucky has stopped teaching about the Holocaust," said UK Dean Steven Hoch.
